While watching Steve Caprizo I usually watch the pets he has on for adoption. But let me tell you first, about my first Grayhound Dunkin. It was love at first sight at Curtis Lumber about 8 years ago.GRONY was there and as walked to this big magnificent fawn with the face like I had never seen before I leaned down and he walked up to me and licked my face and I kissed him back and they were all surprised because he was shy and never did that before. I asked about him and he was 5 and abandoned at a a track and discovered by someone after hearing his cries and lonesome howels .After some pleading my husband said yes and we applied and I never felt about another dog in my life although I had many beloved dogs who had passed away and had a little Yorkie at the time. We fenced in our yard and took him to all the fun outings with the group and he had beautiful royal blue hand made coat with a matching snood and several hand made georgeous matching collers and leashes. I lived on a lake with 90ft.lake front and one day came upon a beautiful farm which we bought . It has 33acres and we would take Dunkin for walks and we got horses after a while. Things were great for a long time and while having lunch I noticed him lift his leg on my living room chair and he had NEVER MESSED IN MY HOUSE HERE OR AT THE LAKE. I always took him out and he also had a fenced in area off our porch. So I dismissed it as a accident .All of a sudden he started to pee and poop all over in the house and even backed his behind on the chair on the porch to poop instead of going out to the yard. I looked to see if he had blood in anything and he seemed to act normal so I called the girls at GRONY and they even came with cups to follow him if he peed .Meanwhile I was beside myself. My husband said he should back to GRONY. They said they have a "diaper " they use at their place and the life went out of me as I packed his GOING TO GRANDMAS suitcase I had and as I folded his coat and all his things including his big toothbrush I was crying. When I told him he was going bye bye he jumped in the back seat and as they were turning around in the drive and leaving he keep looking at me and I broke down and have never been able to look at a Grayhound again only just Shortly showed his picture to a friend and cried. So you can imagine unexpectdly seeing Peter with his dear face the same color and a large one too with a sad story. I cried OH MY GOD and called my husband to look. He never said anything except he's pretty. So I was so consumed with him looked up where you would be in Delmar and called there for directions. Oh I had in my mind I would go and started out.The deciding thought is if I went there and saw him I WOULD burst into tears scare him and you would think I was some crazy person who happened to live in the area . I know this is a long letter so forgive me for telling you my story. I don't know if you make house visits so we can see him here and if you can see if he isn't afraid of us and and things work out maybe make out an adoption aplication or even foster him for a week. I would like to talk to you on the phone but embarressed if I cry. Merilyn Baker
